Our Comfort Max mattresses were designed specifically to meet the unique needs of individuals weighing over 250 lbs. A great night's rest is a must, but standard mattresses are only designed for the weight of an 'average' person.

We have developed two beds specifically for the heavier man or woman – the Comfort Max 300 for those between 250 and 300 lbs, and the Comfort Max 400 for those whose weight is more than 300 lbs. Both of these mattresses incorporate recent developments in the foam industry of a superb and economical synthetic latex foam called Velvetex.

Velvetex Foam is an exceptionally resilient foam that has a uniquely soft and smooth feel, while its springy rebound from body impressions combined with durability makes it the perfect choice for our Comfort Max mattresses. Comfortable, yet supportive under demanding weights, this foam is also allergy-free (no latex), and anti-microbial.

Experience shows that Memory Foam is not suitable for those in the over 250 lb weight range because the foam compresses to a point where it does not fully recover, causing it to wear out or fail much more quickly. Our new Comfort Max beds offer yet another advantage over brands like the Temprapedic mattress in substituting a better-performing Resilitex Foam for the standard Memory Foam layer.

Comfort Max beds are designed specifically to meet the needs of those over 250 lbs. An optional heavy duty foundation is also available.	Temprapedic does not offer an option for heavier people.
Memory Foam does not generally perform well or provide adequate support when body weight is over 250 lbs.	Tempur-pedic beds are manufactured with visco-elastic Tempur® foam or memory foam.
Our Comfort Max beds with Velvetex synthetic latex foam (manufactured in the USA) offer a great option to memory foam while providing the necessary support and extra resiliency required by customers over 250 lbs.	Only the high-end Temprapedic mattress includes imported Talalay Latex, but all are constructed with memory foam.
The Comfort Max 300 has a 10" profile and includes 5" of exceptionally cushioning Velvatex synthetic latex foam. This mattress provides both superb comfort and support.	Temprapedic Original and Classic mattresses have an 8" profile, and the Deluxe a 10" profile, and all include memory foam in their construction.
The Comfort Max mattress has a soft cotton blend cover which stretches as the sleeper moves allowing for proper support, and has a non-skid bottom.	Temprapedic also uses quality mattress covers. Some have a non-skid bottom, while others are removable.
