Do you like a big fluffy matress topper, or is a standard top what you like better? Do you prefer the feel of a firm matress or one that is softer? If you sleep with a partner think about how much room you will need. Also consider changes in your lifestyle since your last matress purchase. Has your weight changed? What about back problems or arthritis. These are all important things to think about when you are temperpedic matress shopping.
Another consideration to take in account is the height of your mattress. Temperpedic matresses should not need a box spring to give a good night's sleep. If you like your bed to be lower then a platform base may not be for you.
Temperpedic matresses come with different warranties and trial periods.
Look for a company that offers a good warranty and/or a free trial period. This is important so you are not stuck with a matress you don't like. You could find the matress that you think is right for you but after a couple of weeks you realize you have made the wrong decision. If the company that made your matress has a free trial period then you are able to exchange it for one that better suites your needs. If not then you are stuck with a matress that either you can sell for a fraction of what you paid for it, if not, then you are stuck.
