Chilipad is 1/2 inch thick and acts as a mattress topper to cushion the mattress, so you feel a soft, luxurious cooling or heating relief beneath you. Only cool or warm water flows through the soft, flexible medical grade silicon tubing in the pad. You do not feel the tubing, yet, it can withstand 500+ lbs and will not puncture with normal use.

Our review of the Chili Pad has found that it can be used with any mattress, even a Temper-pedic® or other memory foam mattress; your temperature sensitive mattress will still support  and cushion you, but without the heat build-up often associated with memory foam.

Stiff, Non-flexible Sleeping Surface

Heating pads tend to be stiff and do not move with your body or the mattress. In addition, you often feel the hard, non-flexible wires in the heating pad beneath you.

Only Three Heat Settings

Timer—You Set the Shutoff Time

You can set the time you want your Chilipad to turn off during the night or in the morning, and it will turn off automatically at that exact time.

Automatic Shutoff

In our review of many heating pads we have typically found an automatic shut off after a certain amount of time. Typically this is 2 hours. And in addition, you will need to unplug the pad for 30 seconds before you can heat it again.

 In most instances, you cannot choose the time duration the pad will automatically stay on or go off.

Easy Care; Easy Set-Up

The Chili Pad cover is poly-cotton. It can be removed and machine washed and dried.

Easy Set-Up: Chili Pad requires only 2 litres of water—can use water from your tap or use distilled water if your water has a high mineral content. Control box fits under any standard size bed.
