Chamomile:
Calming Herbal Muscle Relaxant provides Tension Relief
There are two types of medicinal Chamomile:
German Chamomile (Matricaria) and Roman Chamomile (Anthemis). The Roman Chamomile is known for its sweet smell when the sun warms it up. It is often used in gardens. Both have equal medicinal properties but the German Chamomile is the less bitter tasting of the two types. Chamomile is composed of azulenes, a blue oil which gives it such a sweet, distinctive smell. There are a wide variety of active constituents in chamomile including bisabol, flavonoids, apiginine, luteoline, chamazulene, matricine and flavonoids. But it's major action is sedative.
It is a very powerful muscle relaxant which soothes the nervous system as well as the digestion.

Chamomile Tea has long been used to induce sleep in children as well as in adults. It promotes a very deep and restful sleep.
