It all depends on what you are looking for. Lets start with the most economical: our 4lb 2 inch Memor Rest foam mattress cover. You can buy it for as low as $99. This nasa mattress pad is probably our most popular. It is very comfortable and sufficient. Really you don't need to use a 3 inch or a 4 inch viscoelastic memory foam mattress pad unless you weight over 200 lbs. For most people the 2 inch mattress cover is enough. It will give you all the viscoelastic memory foam you will need.
There are always those who want "the best" and who assume that our most expensive mattress pad cover, the Cool Max 4.5 inch is the best.
It is true that it is the most luxurious but we wouldn't say it is necessarily the best. Our basic foam mattress cover, the Memor Rest 2 inch is really probably the best for most people but if you weigh a bit more then go for the Memor Rest 3 inch mattress pad cover.
Our Sensus ® mattress cover is made of 5lb viscoelastic memory foam and is in a league of its own.
Many might compare it to the tempur pedic (See our page, What is Tempur Pedic?) overlay viscoelastic foam which is also 5lb, but we feel it is softer. The tempur pedic overlay is known for being a bit "stiff". In general 5lb viscoelastic memory foam is not as soft as the 4lb but it is slightly more durable. If you are wondering whether to buy our 3 inch Sensus foam mattress cover or the 4 inch, we recommend the 3 inch. Another 1 inch wont make any difference as far as your experience goes and adding 4 inches to your bed could give your bed too high of a profile.
Our Cool Max viscoelastic memory foam mattress pad is our most luxurious.
The advantage of this nasa mattress pad is that the Cool Max fabric will help to keep you cool. This may be helpful since viscoelastic foam tends to make the bed a little warmer. The Cool Max mattress pad cover will neutralize the added heat. Again if you ask us our opinion we would say that the best choice would be the 2.5" or the 3.5". The 4.5" may be too high for most beds.
